Chased by Suzumebachi – Asian Giant Hornet
The Asian Giant Hornet (Vespa mandarinia) is the most dangerous animal in Japan, killing more humans each year than any other animal including sharks, bears and snakes. Watch me run away quick as these huge hornets (called Suzumebachi in Japanese) take an unwanted interest in me while I attempt to film them in a green tea field in the mountains of central Japan. I know that I am a fool…only now we have the video to prove it.

I assume if you had balls of neutronium and just stood perfectly still the thing wouldn’t hurt you, right? I have the impression from a wasp/hornet extermination expert that when they’re in foraging mode like that hornet seemed to be, the last thing on their minds is to attack you. Only if you threaten the nest or actively try to harm them do they attack. That is assuming these Japanese hornets operate like the ones I’m talking about, that are found in Colorado.
